1. Introduction to TISI Certification

Thailand implements a TISI certification system that combines mandatory and voluntary certification. For products that meet the standards, the TISI mark is allowed to be used. For products that have not yet established standards, TISI also implements product registration as a temporary certification method.

2. Certification scope
The Thai government requires mandatory certification for 60 major categories of products, covering 8 fields, including: electrical equipment and accessories, medical equipment, building materials, daily consumer goods, vehicles, PVC pipes, LPG gas containers and agricultural products. In addition, the certification of other types of products is all voluntary certification.
Before applying for the TISI certificate or on the nameplate of the device product, the certification mark cannot be printed. The certification mark can only be printed on the nameplate after obtaining the TISI certificate. Moreover, the merchant must affix the safety label to the product before it enters Thailand.
