Mandatory Standard for Satellite Broadcasting Transmission Specification :IS 18112:2022 Implementation Rules
This standard, IS 18112:2022, stipulates the requirements for digital television (DTV) receivers to receive digital satellite free television (FTA) and radio signals.
The mandatory implementation date of the standard is April 25, 2025.
3. For plasma/liquid crystal/LED/ TV, the safety standard IS 616:2017 /IEC 60065:2014 has been mandatory before. If the manufacturer has previously obtained the BIS certificate in accordance with this standard, it IS necessary to make an additional IS 18112 on this basis in accordance with the Inclusion continued items. In 2022, the series classification requirements are evaluated in the same way as IS 616:2017.
After April 25, 2025, all TV models that have only applied for the IS 616:2017 standard will be deleted and become invalid.
The separate application process for the IS 616:2017 standard ends on March 25, 2025, which IS one month before the mandatory implementation of IS 18112:2022. After that, television sets need to apply for BIS certificates in accordance with the dual-standard process.
6. The BIS logo that meets both standards should be presented on the product body as follows
